The matte overlay on Metalline® dressings is a very thin, soft, aluminized nonwoven with good drainage. The smooth surface does not adhere to wounds. This means the wound is undisturbed and dressing changes  are atraumatic, which has a positive effect on the course of healing.

The use of drains requires rapid and appropriate wound care. Metalline® Drainage Pads and Tracheo Dressings reduce the risk of adhesion to the wound, thereby allowing atraumatic and pain-free dressing changes.

Applications (Metalline® Wound Dressing):

• For covering every kind of wound, particularly recommended for:
  - abrasions
  - burns
  - chemical burns
  - surgical wounds
  - initial treatment of wounds

Applications (Metalline® Drainage Pad):

• Variable hole diameter (4.5-11 mm)
• For wound care around drains and infusion tubes with:
  - small-calibre drains
  - infusion catheters
  - wire and nail extensions

Applications (Metalline® Tracheo Dressing):

• Variable hole diameter (12-19 mm)
• For wound care and to go around tracheal cannulas for tracheostomies and large-calibre drains
